About Us

Blue Cheetah was founded from the beginning to be different. . . How so you say?

First, we are more than just another timing company.  From day one we created Blue Cheetah to be our client’s advocate, partner, adviser, consultant, and trusted “go-to guy” for all things race related.  You see, our philosophy here is simple:  When you succeed, we succeed.  Along those same lines, so does your charity, your organization, the athletes, AND your corporate sponsors.

We understand that this business is about building trusted relationships. . . and relationships are built on a trust that’s created over time, based on proven results, and tempered by the knowledge and expertise necessary to consistently deliver.

So, if this all sounds like a bunch of corporate fast-talk to you, let us show you how we live that mantra. . .

Let’s meet a few members of our diverse team of owners, officers, investors, employees, and trusted advisers.  We shall make little distinction among them, because much like your event, it takes a TEAM here at Blue Cheetah to accomplish what we do.

Christopher D. Shelton, MBA
Founder and Senior Race Director

These days, he is more of a weekend warrior than a seasoned athlete, but Chris brings the passion, vision, drive, and business acumen to Blue Cheetah that gives the company it’s unmistakable “can-do” attitude, enthusiasm, and distinctive corporate  heart-beat.  With a background in Law and Business, Chris obtained his undergraduate degree in Jurisprudence before obtaining his Master of Business Administration from the prestigious Loyola University in Maryland.  Having spent over 20 years in the Information Technology industry, he has the skills to meld his passion for racing with the results-driven attitude of a business owner.   A seasoned multi-sport athlete, Chris successfully completed his first 100-mile bike race at the age of 15 and continues to compete regularly in everything from charitable 5K’s to half-marathons on a monthly basis.

George S. Robinson IV, Esq.
Business Adviser and Chief Legal Counsel

In addition to a stellar career as a corporate attorney, George is a life-long lover of sports and an accomplished athlete.  While he has mostly passed the competitive torch to his children these days, his history speaks volumes about his dedication to the professional and amateur athlete alike.  While in high school at Saint James Prep School, he was captain of the wrestling team, goalie of the lacrosse team, and member of the varsity football team.  After graduating from UMass Law School, George became an avid whitewater kayaker and has traveled the world searching for the perfect Class V rapid.  His wife Tiffany is an avid runner and former NCAA all American volleyball player.  Following closely in their parent’s footsteps, their children, Kemper and Bennett definitely inherited the sports gene.  Kemper is shaping up to be a spectacular soccer player and enjoys running weekend 5k races with her mother.  At the tender age of 6, Bennett is already quarterback of his football team and also plays lacrosse when he is not pinning an opponent in the wrestling arena.

Andrea Gilde, MSW, BA
Director of Permitting and Compliance
Chief Client Advocate
Andrea Gilde brings 20 years of experience as an Office Technology educator, working with adult students to develop skills that will keep them competitive in today’s constantly changing workforce.  Her attention to detail and communication know-how ensures that all of your race requirements will be met.  Her passion for running and fitness developed later in life, as part of a healthy lifestyle transformation.  After a time when a 5k seemed like an overwhelming distance, she now regularly completes marathon and half-marathon distance races and proudly represents “the back-of-the-pack.” Andrea feels that one of the most fulfilling and rewarding aspects of life is watching others achieve their “eureka” moment when they are able to realize their hidden talents and potential.
